today as i was driving my brake lamp light came on, my brake lights are working fine. i am confused. why would you think it came on. i only got 400 miles left on my warrenty also.

Did you check the 3rd brake light located behind the rear subwoofer? Most people doesn't realize that.

you might wanna check your brake fluid, i had the same problem, called the dealer , they said that we have a sensor in the cap that reads how much fluid in the master cylinder or it just might be loose

 

If it's the brake light in the instrument cluster that is coming on when drive the car then that probably isn't your rear break light bulbs. Take a look at the either the brake fluid level in the master cylinder or see if the parking brake is adjusted correctly.

 

^ agreed, i dont thinke we have a brake light indicator on the tl. if the brake light is on make sure the parking brake isnt slightly on or part of it stuck, also check the fluid. if you cant find any thing i would bring it to the dealer

 

my third light works perfect.
the light is next to the brake light
its called "Brake Lamp" .
i got a 2002tls

also i checked the fluid cap. its good.

Actually, we do. We have BRAKE warning indicator for emergency brake & BRAKE LAMP indicator for brake light failure. It turns on where the door open indicator is located (car diagram) when there's problem with brake lights.

Maybe you just didn't realize it.
