Is this the only input converter sold on the market? Seems pricey for a pretty simple piece of equipment?

The Blitzsafe adapter has worked well for me so far - no complaints.

www.enfigcarstereo.com also carries the Blitzsafe.

Installed a Blitzsafe about a month ago and works perfectly. I believe there is a post in DIY that if nothing else shows how to get to the back of the radio.

Also, make sure you get the G2 cable that connects the Blitzsafe to the iPod; this allows compatability with the newer versions. Probably most of them have this now, but doesn't hurt to check first.

the blitzsafe is expensive and doesn't let me keep my cd changer plugged in =\
just need one of the two (cheap/cd changer)

Define cheap. Compared to aftermarket decks, etc. the Blitzsafe is a bargain and still allows you to play CDs.

A couple cheaper options are to use a cassette tape or an FM transmitter. Just remember you'll lose sound quality... more so with the FM transmitter. With the cassette player, you might get annoyed with it's own background noise, or maybe you'll get lucky.
