I need a replacement for the dashboard dim knob. mine shorted out and now i cant see my dash at night. anyone know where i can find it? or bypass it?

 

i'm sure you can get it at honda/acura. it shouldn't be that expense b/c it's only a small knob. give that a try.

 

haha, well i actually ned the whole thing... i kinda sorta cracked the circuit board

What circuit board

 

well the knob is in a small box that connects to a harness, i accidentally stepped on that little black box and cracked the pcs and the box, so its toast. i tried routing the harness back into itself to try and complete the circuit, but nothing. seems like the pcb uses a capacitor/fuse/light bulb thingy. any ideas fsttyms?

 

Replace it with a new one.

As for bypassing it i dont have my manual here but im sure its possible. Just need to know what wires do what

 

well ive noticed some more issues, my rear driving lights dont turn on, only my brake lights work, and my heat doesnt work. could this one thing control all of that? there were only 4 cables that go into it, two in and two out.

 

i have the same problem with mine and i got mine at acura and it ddnt work. i need a drivers multi plex control unit

 

holy Shit, i dont know what that is, but it sounds pricey. how did your problem arise?
update: my heat works again.

I don't think I need that. I think I need the switch on the steering column. What's that thing run for?

 

Does every thing else work? If you still dont have dash lights id say it might possibly in the multiplex, I kinda doubt its the column switch because i dont think you would have lights period.

 

When I turn my headlights on all lights go out in the car. Shifter, ac, dash, guages. Only the brake, gas, tcs, high beam, abs, and air bag light work at all times. If I have my headlights OFF and I turn the turn signals on, all the dash lights turn off an one in sequence with the blinkers
