Hi, I was just wondering something. I've always hated black interiors (get too hot in the sunlight and i've just never really liked them). I've been looking to trade up to a 2002-2003 Agean Blue Pearl TLS but I was wondering if they made them with a tan interior, or if they were all just black. Any help would be great!

 

I believe they do make blue TL-S with a tan interior. That was why I didn't get it, cuz you get the wood accents too. Which isn't really to my taste, I prefer my black TL-s with black interior

 

Are you 100% sure about that? Because all of the ones I've seen for sale have been black interiors and I'm just trying to find out if I'm wasting my time looking for a tan one.

 

bdv687, is your interior black or tan now? I have tan right now, but now I want black interior. I guess we get bored of what we have.

 

haha ironically, my interior is tan. I just love the color so much and I'd rather not give it up.

 

im lovin the tan interior also, black does got really hot during the summer. the aegen blue only comes in dark interior, that's for sure.

 

I've seen agean blue with Tan! TL-S 02' actually. It was when I was first shopping for my car but I decided that tan wasn't my thing...

i searched high and low for a white TL with a dark interrior and i finally got it, i think ive seen some tan and blue type S on ebay , i dontt hink it looks right but u can check there

I have an 03 ABP TL-S and they didn't offer tan leather w/ the blue pearl color, black only...... I don't see a reason why 2002 would be any different. If you saw tan in an ABP car, it was probably swapped in at some point.

 

Tint them windows on a black on black car. I know I am, before the summauh starts this year. I to gonna hate the feel of 103 degree heat and sitting in black car all day w/o AC or tinted windows.

 

I will trade you my Black 2000 TL-P. It has a tan interior!

 

02 TLS and all they offered at the time was Black interior on my ABP.

It may say Balck, but really dark gray, and window tint fixes a lot of that.

I live in TX, and believe me when I tell you it is OK. Had a Black/Black Integra GSR before this and that sucked as far as the sun and heat went.

 

There are two ABP's here in Tallahassee with tan leather interior. Pure ugly in my opinion but yes they do come in tan too. Maybe they were special ordered because normally I just see the ebony on the ABP.

 

Yea I dont think tan would look nice on ABP. Your choice I guess. I like my black interior and will probably get tints during the summer.

 

I just double checked, yes, they do come in Blue/Tan. I'm in Canada though, so i dunno if that'll affect anything lol.

 

The 2002-2003 Aegean Blue Pearl TL Type S was ONLY available with the Black interior. You could not order it special, I know I tried

If there are some ABP TL-S's floating around likely the interior was swapped out due to flooding or owner preference.

In Canada, there is no Aegean Blue Pearl, there is Eternal Blue Pearl on the TL-S which was available with the Parchment (tan) interior. Only the 2003 Canada TL-S A-Spec got Agean Blue Pearl and it was with a black interior too.

I have both the 2002 and 2003 USA TL brochures and both say that ABP is only available with black interior as well.

 

Oops, didn't know there was two different blue on the TL. Then you're right, the Eternal Blue Pearl comes with a Tan interior while the Aegean Blue Pearl only comes in Black. I looked it up at autos.msn.com. Cool site if you need to check up on cars.

Yeah, I don't know. I've just always thought that a tan interior seems so spacious and clean if it's taken car of. Also, I've thought that black interiors show wrinkles in the leather more than tan. Maybe that's all just my opinion though. I'm not knocking black, I'm just saying that I'd prefer tan if I could get it. Basically, the interior color will not steer me away from getting an ABP Type S. The color is just too beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful to pass up!!!

 

Yes you can the the blue/tan combo. My dealership had an 02 blue/tan
non-type S.

 

Thats not Aegean Blue Pearl though.
