Anyone have Bride/Recaro bucket seats?

Yes i know our stock seats are comfy but i was wondering if anyone has any Bride/Recaro seats in their TL. Pictures would be nice, thanks. I was wondering because i just helped my friend install his Bride seat in his FG2 and thought how it would look in our cars.

I have a recaro bucket in my 2g cl which is same car as 2g tl. It will require custom fabricated brackets, or you figuring out how to mount directly to floor but that way lacks seat adjustment.

This pic won't really help you much tho cause my car is gutted.

What the purpose of putting recaro bucket seats? weight saving?
I was thinking of RSX seats in my TL which will probably save you 80-90 lbs over all and the look will be better than skinny bucket seats. I saw one 3G tl member did in his tl and I thought it wouldn't belong in our tl.

Just for the looks right now. Form > Function atm.

Got pics of the 3G TL with RSX seats?

The purpose of bucket seat is they hold you laterally, position the seat alot lower, weight savings, can use harness for racing and safer if setup properly, they don't move slightly on slider when you accelerate or brake. My bucket is actually more comfortable to me then the stock seats in the cars I drive.

I have a pair of the 05 rsx seats and you will not save 80-90 lbs from these. You would save more like 20-30 lbs if even that.

Don't get a bucket seat if it is just solely for looks imo, unless it is a show car and you have done everything else you wanted to do already.

Really. What I heard between them each seat 40lbs lighter but since you got rsx seats in your hand your info is more reliable. May be cl seats are lighter than 99tl.

I mean pic is 3g with bucket seat not rsx. I think I read about 3g or cl guy did rsx in his car. I can find pic of 3g with bucket seat and member name is inaccurate TL who did a extreme diet on his car which result made his car like 1.5-2 inch wheel gap higher than stock car. May be I can find info rsx seats in other ride too.

The CL seats are not lighter than the TL seats. They have the same frame, cushions, motors, etc. Weight differences would be negligible.

Maybe you could bolt up the 3G TLs's Seats?
they usually look pretty good, snd you would retain the heating element.

I was talking about that hideous writing on the side of that Walmart car...er.. I mean Genesis. Its your car, and If you think Recaro seats are dope, throw some in there. The argument of the TL being a luxury car is invalid to me, it takes more balls and dedication to take a luxury vehicle and turn it into something different then it does to mod an already sporty car and throw some bullshit on it. Thats what the whole Honda game is about to begin with...taking slow economical cars and making them into something badass. Look at Brian6speeds car....or Erics TL stripped with a roll cage and supercharged creeping up on 400 horsepower. To me thats more interesting than putting a wood shift knob and a window curtain on. I say go for it and see what else it leads to.

Yeah, if I were stuck with a Hyungay someone would have to give me free parts for it too, cause I wouldn't put a dollar into it. I can't blame you for debadging however, I would be embarrassed to rock that logo as well.

Why you being negative nancy yeedatoy, dude simply stated his opinion and you went and straight bashed his whip and called it a Walmart car? lolwut. And I don't see what's so terrible about owning a Genesis 3.8 Track, sounds pretty damn good to me.

I like the idea of buckets in the car to give it a bit more of an aggressive look, but I would preferably go with a color matched interior, like black leather bucket and black leather seats.

jjashaa doesn't know how to state an opinion. It seems like every time I look through a thread I see him bashing someones car or ideas. The respectful way to state an opinion for example, is this quote from Brian6speed.

"Don't get a bucket seat if it is just solely for looks imo, unless it is a show car and you have done everything else you wanted to do already."

That's an opinion. Not some high horse post about the seats being for aesthetics being sad, coming from a guy who has carbon fiber eyelids and fog surrounds. Same thing applies...carbon fiber is generally used to lighten the weight of a vehicle for better all around performance, but in jjashaa's case that does not apply. Better someone just keep to themselves than post solely to speak down upon someones plans for their vehicle.

^ I agree. jjashaa is probably the most condescending poster in the 2G TL section. It is something I noticed when I first joined Azine almost 2 years ago, and I have learned to ignore his high horse comments.

But he has helped a lot of noobs in this section, including me a whileee back when I installed my lowering springs for the first time.

Anyways, as for the racing seats, I would have to agree with ninjai on this one.

I like the idea of buckets in the car to give it a bit more of an aggressive look, but I would preferably go with a color matched interior, like black leather bucket and black leather seats.

This is something I def toyed with the entire time I owned my 2G. Those stock TL-P seats SUCK! They hold you in place about as good as a park bench. Maybe the Type S bolstering is better? I'm not sure how safe these racing seats are in a street crash. You also need to mount the harnesses properly. I say do it! I love the comment that it would be more interesting than a wood shift knob and curtains, haha - couldn't agree more. That's why I stopped posting here.

FWIW, jjashaa had the best overall looking 2G TL I've seen on this board - I don't like black cars, but he did it right. Also, "Walmart" car LMAO. Aside from the interior, the Genesis is a far superior car to the TL.

Aren't the CL seats much better? They appear to be. I enjoy the heated feature and comfort but I must agree that they will allow you to be thrown around quite a bit. The other issue.. I do like the Genesis...I was trying to prove a point. The TL and the Genesis are two completely different types of cars so they cant really be compared in certain aspects. Hyundai with a warranty and GAP insurance are a nice deal, but if you think the TL has issues then look up issues with Hyundai. Timing belts breaking at 10k, randomly catching on fire, etc. Hyundai has come a long way however and one day they'll be a great competitor in the upcoming years.

The Type S seats aren't much better. They still can't hold me in that well, but I am also very thin and don't have broad shoulders. The best seats I have sat in though are in my friend's 335i M sport with the power adjustable side bolsters. They are fucking amazing.
