Anti-theft idea
Anti-theft idea
Besides the OEM/after market alarm, how about removing a critical fuse from the fuse box and replace with a dummy/blown fuse, say the fuel pump fuse? That way even if they want to drive away the car it'd not work? I doubt they'd spent the time to troubleshoot the car on the spot...
Just an idea...

Just an idea...
Yeah..that would work. My friend used to do this...until he got lazy.
CKacura.....the so called "immobilizer" is useless....they already cracked the code to Honda's systems. But this will still prevent the "amateurs" from getting the car.

premiums dont go super high on auto thefts, unless you are totally boneheaded and leave the keys in there advertising to take the car.
The insurance co's understand that theft happens and its not the fault of the owner. they only get pisses when you are at fault in an accident.
and the using a rental while the ins co writes you a check for the retail value of your used auto is not so bad, since they pick up the tab on that also.

yeah.....truthfully....just let them take the car, but I would never want to see it again...it's truely a pain and lots of fusteration!(sp?) and you have alot of personal belongings in your car....and all your mods!

HONDA doesn't have any immobilizer nor antitheft for TL in Japan. Then I have added an aftermarket immobilizer called AC802. http://www.mitokogyo.co.jp/
The price is only US$70.00.
This cuts the starter and the fuel pump.
I have to touch the immobilizer key to immobilizer receptor to resume the electricity to the starter and fuel pump.
Then I have to use my ordinary key to start the engine.
Without touching immobilizer receptor with the key, trying to start the engine will cause nothing.
One good thing for this is that I could hide the receptor in the coin box (it is small like 1-1/2 in long and 1/2 in diameter with LED that let me know that it is working).
Then at first it is necessary for a stranger to find the receptor.
Next thing is that the key for the immobilizer receptor is separated.
Then even though a person could steal my key (or your key with code), he cannot start the engine without the separate key.
The main box of the immobilizer can be hidden somewhere behind the dash. All the wires are black and it will be difficult for a stranger to remove it correctly and quickly.
This will not be perfect but it is also true that many owners with genuine immobilizer installed this aftermarket one as well.
