Air Filters

Comptech vs. K&N

Which is better and why. I think I'm going to start with one of these air filters before upgrading to a CAI.

I've had my TLS for two weeks now, and I love it. I'm 100 miles away from the break in (TLS had to sit in garage while I was on vacation for a week!).

God bless everyone in NY, DC, and the entire US!

why waste money on the filter if you're going to eventually upgrade to the CAI anyways?

Well, that's a good question. I live in a horrible climate (we get tons of snow, rain, etc.) and I'm a little worried of moisture getting into the engine via the CAI. Is moisture in the engine not that big of a risk with CAI?

How much louder is a CAI?

Good question, as moisture would get sucked up the pipes regardless if you have the bipass vavle or not. I'm assuming (just my guess) that any moisture would evaporate extremely quickly when entering the engine bay. Id just cross my fingers that they dont build up fast enough to form large solid drops of water.
