Doren Car Audio on Jamaica Avenue in Fresh Meadows at 214th street. They did an excellent job on my car. The brain is way up in the dash, and they put it all back together without a hint that the cars dash was taken apart. It was first rate work, and I am a very very very picky guy who's hard to please when it comes to my car

Mr. Hyde. Are you able to use your factory remote with the clifford? and how much did it cost you?

Thanks

there's another place in Lynbrook, Long Island. Ultrasounds is an authorized Clifford Intelliguard dealer. Most aftermarket alarms can interface with the stock factory alarm and you don't need to use the stock alarm remote.

Am I missing something, is there a reason to get an aftermarket alarm system? Is the stock alarm system useless?

Clifford is one of the best. I have the IG800 version. Very nice alarm.

the stock alarm system doesn't provide shock sensors that will at least deter some ppl from trying to mess with your vehicle. the aftermarket alarm system will also provide the ability to disable your starter and other convenience features not offered with a factory alarm system.

I just use the Clifford remote. The only feature I loose is the memory seat adjustment every time you opne the door depending on whether it is remote 1 or 2.

No big deal for me, no one else drives my car really, and if they do I just hit the buttons on the door after I get in the car. I dont want to wake up one morning which my headlights stolen.

Clifford is one of the best alarms out there with dual point immobilzation vs one that most alarms use, and the install job was great. I paid $860 which included tax and I got the Solaris which has remote start, short stop, the Black jax anticarjacking feature, remote trunk release and many other nice features. The remote start does NOT bypass the chip in your key. The spare key is in your dash, and an antenna sends the chips signal to your ignition when the remote start is activated. So someone with a blank still wont be able to get your car. Alot of places would just completely bypass that feature
