Hey,
Ive got a 99tl , ive had this car for about 10 months now, and im noticing that i seem to have a rare emblem location on my car.


On the rear of the car my "ACURA" emblem is located on the top left of my trunk, and it seems like all the other 2nd gen tl's have them in the middle.

im the 2nd owner of this car, and do not know if there was any work down in emblems.

Is it only mine or is this on certain models only?

but to answer ur question...the 2g TL's do have the A C U R A lettering centered....id assume that the previous owner did this...im eager to see what this looks like

i thought something was up. there is no sign near the center where the "Circle Acura" is, of any residue or there ever was a emblem there, does this mean maybe it was repainted?

Nope it didnt need to be repainted after this it was just debadged. There are some diy's on here about it, just involves some hot water and floss to do it without scratching the car, then something to remove the rest of the tape on the car. They sell replacement letterings online, looks like the first owner did this and then replaced them up there, doesent look bad but if your gona leave the lettering on the car I like it better in the original spot

 

oh ok. wonder why he did that, he was like a 80 year old man , i bought the car, the same day the guy traded it in for a '05.

hmmm ill check it out, i dont mind it , just thought maybe i had some "special model" tl , guess not,,,, aww.....bubble popped.
