9006 lightbulb review

recently I did a little review on my own to see which lights would look the best with HID's

I tried the PIAA PLAT , PIAA EXTREME, Koito, Philips Blue Vision.

They all turned out to be pretty good in brightness and I found out the Philips Blue Vision matched the HID's very well.

I'll get some pics posted up tomorrow or later tonight when it gets dark.

they are for the fog light but you can get the high beam 9006 also. I bought them @ Kmart for $9.88 each.

I didn't think they would be that good so I just bought them to try it out and turned out to look really nice and matched very well with the HID's and the road lights up very nice.

Anyone had the idea of switching the high beam bulb into a low beam bulb so they can be on with your HID's?

just a thought !

I bought a pair of 9006 from Sylvania. It is called Cool Blue. It turned out to be completely white at night. Not yellow, not blue, just ultra bright white.

They were 8 bucks each.

Not true at all

Sylvania and Philips are two of the biggest light bulb companies around. They make OEM bulbs for lots of car manufacturers around the world. I recommended by friends to buy the BV and CB for their cars. So far they so good on the lasting long issue - 10 months. The bulbs are more white in color compared to the stock bulbs. Good cheap upgrade if you want better lighting for your cars. But if you want even better bulbs and don't mind paying more $$ then PIAA would be the choice. I got the PIAA for my car and I like them alot.

those Philips Blue Visions have an avg. rated life of 320hrs (Philips website).

I wonder what the rated life of a PIAA platiunum or hypers are?

How difficult is it to replace the driving light bulbs on the TL-typeS? How do you replace them?

I found it pretty easy just removing each unit. Here's a thread with pics. It took me about 15 minutes to do both.
