3A Tips?

My 3A Tips came in, and they look good from the back. But if you look down, they stick out like 2-3 inches.

Everyone else's don't seem to stick out that far? It doesn't look as good as pictures. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you push them all the way back? If so then like iforyou said, you need the kit.

Well the picture I had of the 3.25 tips, they were on a TL without a lip kit and they didn't stick out. They were flush with the rear bumper. They stuck out maybe 1/2". And it was voLLy's car and he said they were the same tips I ordered? What's the deal?

I took a dremel and hacked about a half inch off the back of my tips.

I put them on and tightened them up to let them sit to see if they grow on me. After I tightened em up and looked for a while they look fine.

My exhaust hangs a little low, think the exhaust shop can raise it up a little bit?

My tips are going to look alot better when the exhaust is raised a bit. The gap between the tips and the bumper is too big.

I just put mine on too. They don't stick out; well, maybe a little, 1/2" - 1". No lip.

My exhaust hangs funny too. From the back the tips are not even. I thought it was how I put them on - the right is 1/2" lower than the left. Looks kind of goofy once you see it.

Took some measurements and the right muffler hangs 1/2" lower than the left. Hanger seems fine (not broken or anything), everything looks connected just fine.

Is this normal? Can it be corrected?

Yeah the lip kit sticks out a little and takes care of that extra length. Makes it look perfect IMO. I'll try to take some pics later.

O your in Germany huh. Well muffler man has then that a website you can get them from and parts stores. You may have to have someone you know over here in the US go to a autozone or so and send them too you.

There about 30-35 bucks for both

I got the 3.25. They look good, but they stick out about .5/.75 of an inch out past the rear bumper. Mufflers need to be raised up and they won't look like they stick out so much.

I have the 3.25" and they stick out a little but it looks fine for me. No lip. Bearcat, my left muffler used to hang lower than my right because the head of one of the bolts holding the flanges together broke off so the flanges weren't sitting flat against each other, had it fixed by putting in a new bolt. Thatd be my guess for yours hanging lower.

Hard to tell from that angle. But in person, directly behind (especially if you get down to the tip level) it's completely obvious.

I was thinking about looking for an exhaust hanger that was a little shorter to put on that side.

I've to the 3.25" x 8.75" tips, btw. Maybe they are a little shorter than the bigger tips, which is why they dont' stick out much.

BTW - where you at? That looks like Carolina. I see your VA plate, but the TL-S next to you looks like an NC plate.
