2003 TL Type-S known problems

I already have a 99 TL and I pretty much know the major problems with this year. Tomorrow I'm going to look at an 03 TL Type-S and wondering what if there is anything specific I should look out for or be aware of.
Thanks in advance

$6995 I've looked at about 20 of the 60 something pages and I'm not really finding anyone with the type-s replying but I don't know if they share the same trans.

Trans problems are with ALL 2g tls (though the 99s were less problematic) The other issue is leaking rear main seal.

Well that doesn't sound good considering my 99 tl trans has been acting up for at least 60,000 miles.I have to manually shift it and let off the throttle every time until it grabs the next gear.Does the 02-04 rl have the same tranny issues?

2G CL and TL shared the same tranny.

The RL never had any trans problems, if I recall correctly.

Just remove plastic covers to engine then square plenum cover Clean out the Grooves with degreaser or intake cleaner dont damage metal gasket replace be sure not to flip gasket wrong way or youll block off The air flow reinstall metal gasket and tourque to specs this will improve response throttle and Mpg too
