2000>03 original tranny, most miles so far ?

So, who out there has the original automatic tranny and if so.....lucky you, how many miles does your 2000-03 TL have on the dial presently ?

I realize that many of these cars no longer have the original owner, but if you know for a fact that the car's tranny has never been replaced or rebuilt, please feel free to join in !

The "oil jet recall is ok" ! Let's check it out, I'll start first at 170k having bought our 2000 TL six years ago with 130k from the original owner having completed the recall at the initial time that Acura had requested.

Thanks to all who respond in an honest and constructive manner !

the oil jet recall has nothing to do with our main problem of early clutch pack wearout for 3rd gear

a wise man does not temp the ziner trans gods by talking about how long it has lasted!!

Haha, I was just thinking about that before I read your reply. That's the problem I just had with my 00 TL, the 3rd gear clutch pack wore out. Replying to the question of miles on original tranny. I just had mine replaced last month & it had 98,000 miles on it before it showed signs of replacing. Got it done fore free.

171,000. Original everything.

There is no pattern to failure. 80 year old lady who drives once a week,
three blocks to church, has same chance of failure as speed-demon sport-shifting maniac.
