I have an 02 tl and i was wondering if there were any grilles that are available for this. or if there is a DIY grill for the 02 there seems to be one fore almost every other tl.

how did you make it do u you have a DIY?

 

some cutting, fiberglass, bondo, and lots of sanding, then painting. no real diy for it didnt have time to make one bc i was working on other projects.

 

im only 16 and i dont kno much about stuff like that would i still be able to do it?

 

than i wouldnt try it unless u got another grill around just incase it doesnt turn out as u want it to.

 

how much does a new grill cost? and i think i might be able to wedge a piece of gutter guard in between the silver strip on the front of it and the triangle piece. but im not totally sure if that would work.

 

new grills about $60 or so. my first idea was to cut out teh diamonds in the stock grill and put gutter guard in its place. worked fine but then i got sick of it. so then i did the grill i have now. let me see if i have any pics of my old grill.

how much the grill that you bought. I dont really wont to spend alot of money but i will if i have no other choice. also do u think its possible to take off the trim on the front of the grill and put a peice of mesh between that and the grill with out having to cut the back pert out. i kno the trim comes off but idk if u can fit the gutter guard inbetween it and the triangle part on the grill.

 

i just used my grill and drove grill less. once i started cutting their was no turning back. all the chrome pieces that r on the grill u could take off. their are screws in that back that r holding it. the first pic that i posted of the back grill i but mesh grill behind their but i cant find any pics of it.

 

rajca that grill looks clean, sounds like a lotta hacking, sanding, bondo, more sanding. The paint on the grill looks a little darker than the rest of the car, but still looks pretty sweet

 

im getting the grill and hood painted. stupid rock chips my car looks like it got freckles
