I/H/E total gains

How much power are you guys squeezing out with the simple I/H/E bolt-on.

I tried to do a search but couldn't find any threads with your actual specs with all your mods. Thanks.

I might be interested in trying to get another 10-20hp increase in my TL-S. I wanna be around the 280 HP range to keep up with all the new models of cars in this class. Everyone's pushing around 300 these days.

Is it true just a CAI can really have up to 10hp gain on this motor? What bout the short ram?

headers gave me a good 20-25whp. some ppl even see 30whp out of headers. intake will give u roughly around 7hp. short ram is good for torque and teh hot air in the engine compartment is not good for the motor. get a CAI. exhaust i have no idea.

I'm probably not gonna get an exhaust since I'm content with the stock ones. I doubt it would be a bottleneck or anything.

wow that much gain with headers huh. I will look for an Injen CAI and maybe Comptech Headers or something similar but cheaper lol. Down the line pulleys etc.

Thanks for the reply.

You pushing 291 N/A?

no 291whp with nitrous, but i ran lean so i never used it until today. got my a/f gauge hooked up n/a it was working like it should have and with nitrous it worked like it should have also. im still have to get it dyno tuned but with a slipping 3rd gear its not worth it now. i got dc sports header (old design)same diameter as the comptechs and their ceramic coated. u could get some xs header for around $100shipped and they work the same just need to get better bolts and gaskets (from what i read)

Just curious what's ur flywheel HP rated at? Your TL-S is pretty jacked.

Oh you gonna fix the tranny or get rid of it?

Exhaust is mostly for looks/sound on the TL.

I see...yeah I wanna keep the car quiet and luxurious lol until it screams.... As far as cosmetics, I'm just getting a 30% tint in a couple days...and down the road dropping it because I like how it looks stock...kinda classy look..I'm surprised this car is actually a head turner LOL....especially cruising downtown with the HID's on ...initially I thought it sorta boring looking at first.

Thanks, I'll look up the XS

Here's a good thread on exhausts -- https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177786

A lot of people just go with some nice tips and get the mid muffler and/or exhaust resonator removed to give it a nice tone without being too loud and having droning. With the XS headers and those two things removed, it screams pretty damn good.

I dyno'd at 194whp/184wtq with I/H/E/P, and I have a TL-p which I believe starts off at around 170whp. The TL-s benefits a bit more with these mods though.

www.ssautochrome.com

with all the bolt ons you're looking at roughly 240-250whp. no one uses 'crank hp' unless it's from the factory (cause no one is gonna measure it from the crank). at best you're looking at an estimate from whp.
