Tpms

I purchased a set of used OEM wheels for winter tires; they came without TPMS. I thought I saw that the TPMS have two different part numbers when searching on-line for the parts.

Is there more than one OEM wheel maker?
Can they both be used on the same car?
Why the different part numbers for the TPMS?

Not sure which year RL but assuming it is an 05-08 without PAX, the below parts is what I see for an 06RL from an online vendor.

I do not know if it is appropriate to link to the vendor in the forum, but I simply GOOGLE'd 'Acura RL OEM parts'. There are several to choose from.

001 39350-SJA-A02 RECEIVER UNIT, TPMS 1 2006 RL
002 39360-S9V-A01 INITIATOR UNIT, TPMS 4 2006 RL
003 90321-SV4-003 NUT-WASHER (6MM) (PAINT CUTTING) 2 2006 RL
004 93403-06016-08 BOLT-WASHER (6X16) 8 2006 RL

Correct assumption, 06 non-PAX.
When I checked I did not see the detail you show.
Are all 4 parts needed for each wheel?

My copy / paste from the website does not highlight the QTY for each part, so I did so below...

001 39350-SJA-A02 RECEIVER UNIT, TPMS 1 2006 RL
002 39360-S9V-A01 INITIATOR UNIT, TPMS 4 2006 RL
003 90321-SV4-003 NUT-WASHER (6MM) (PAINT CUTTING) 2 2006 RL
004 93403-06016-08 BOLT-WASHER (6X16) 8 2006 RL

There is one reciever for all for wheels, 4 initiators, and the others are mounting / fasteners of negligable cost. I did not paste in the prices as they were specific to that online vendor.

Since you already have the reciever, you just need the initiators (wheel mounted transmitters) and the mounting hardware. I am unsure if the 3rd item (2 pieces) is needed for the wheels however, it may be to mount the reciever. The 8 pc part is likely for the 4 wheels to mount the initiators.

There was a schematic to show the parts, but I could not copy and past that onto the board.

Thanks much for the info.
We'll see how the new Vredsteins perform, another cost for northern owners.

Here is what I found on the website that I originally searched:

Notice the 2 different part numbers for the valve Assembly and 2 different wheel suppliers. The initiator seems to be identical for both. I guess I was wondering about the valve assembly that must be the valve stem.

You need to call a dealer parts department, or our sponsor, Tim at hondacuraworld.com
1-888-RAY-LAKS and one of them will set you straight. I don't have time to look it up, but I thought there was a part number for the entire assy, and then a bunch for individual pieces of the assembly.

You could also call Curry Acura, they seem to be pretty good also, but not a sponsor.

You just need the TPMS SENSOR ASSY (x4). The sensor will come in a little baggie with the nut and end cap included. Expect to pay about $160 for all four with the shipping. Alternative, some Acura parts counters will sell them for less than the $47 retail price in which case you can buy locally and skip the shipping.

The $47 is exactly what I was charged and paid. There was no issue with different wheel manufacturers.
I purchased Vredestein Wintrac Extreme XL (225-55/17). They are a little noisy (whine) but seem to handle well on dry pavement.
We'll see.
