oh yeah, the stock tire size for a TL is 235, I have no idea why you're running 225's.

Get the Continental DWS tires. At least traction won't be a secret and you can actually use the car in the winter

I had a big chip in the fender. So i finally got it painted along with my front bumper that was eaten up because of NYC drivers.

So...like the saying goes...its always one thing after the next.

I left the city at 12:30PM and did not get home till now.

Why?

I was driving and the car started to loose power. Took it to a 24hr gas station and guess what? The alternator is low. I need to buy a new one.

I recently purchased an 07 RL and Blazing GT and 037's rides make me want to mod mine. My vehicle is Black with Ivory interior. I think the first mod will be tint. Any other inexpensive mods you can recommend?

The list goes on and on JRock. Welcome to Acurazine. Seeing that tint can run you 200+, what do you consider inexpensive? After that, what mods suit you, performance or appearance? However, we shouldn't hijack Blazing's thread here; start your own and you will get plenty of ideas from people.

man Blazing... I swear... your car looks really good on those 17" wheels...

what did you pay for those wheels and what did it cost to get them redrilled? when you say they redrill them.. are the holes all opened up, do they plug them with something and drill all over? do they look weird if you get down and look at the hub area up close? or do they look like an OEM fit?

what exact tire size are you running ? and is it a lower profile than the stock 17" wheels on the RL??? they look great honestly.. i mean.. 18s or 19swould look better...but those wheels look so much better than the plain old 17" wheels Acura put on the RL....

your car, with the drop, and the 17s looks nice...very nice... of course the aspec kit helps..

if I bought rims...i almost wouldn't mind to run a set of those... if I could use my tires on my cu rrent wheels?? let me nkow sizes on thowse wheels... looks nice.

is the offset on the TL wheels the same as the RL wheels?? fitment was ok? no rubbing on calipers in front???

those are stock 17's on stock wheels. If you scroll up above, you can see that there's only 5 holes in those wheels. RJ did a good job re-drilling them to fit the RL.

wheel shopping had begun. I bought a set of these rims and unfortunately they did not clear the caliper. I ran 9.5 up in the front and it was just knocking the caliper.

Have to get another set of rims now.

My friend decided to buy them from me and put it on his car because he liked the way it looked. Nice rims tho

What size were the wheels you bought but had t sell? You going back to big wheels or staying with 17 or 18s? I thing your car looked fine with those tl 17s! What size sidewalks were on those tl wheels? 50 series?

Good luck with wheel hunting!

Little Update:

Hello to all of my Acura buddies. I have not post in this journal since I have gotten rid of Lia. As most of you know I had the BMW 535xi after the Acura and about 8-9 months later I could not see my self driving the car anymore. It felt like a change that was not felt.

Currently I am in a Range Rover Sport.

This is the order in which i would have choosen these vehicles to my likeness

1. Range Rover Sport
2. Acura RL
3. BMW 535XI
4. Acura TL

Hopefully next time i post in here I will be in an Acura

Sweet ride, man. I remember you writing a comparo with the RL vs the Bimmer when you sold Lia, but what exactly felt wrong with the Bimmer?

Besides the fear of a HPFP detonation at speed on the highway?

hey blazing,

on those 17in 04-06 OEM TL wheels, did you need a spacer to clear the front bbk after you redrilled them to 5x120. i might do the same.

thanks in advance

I cannot remember the tire size that was ran but I did not need a spacer for the wheels after they were redrilled.

Nothing was wrong with the BMW.

Infact the RL was so underrated and the BMW was so overrated that when i spent more money to get the BMW it felt like a waste because in my eye the RL was just as good.
