weird start up

Everything powers up fine, so I'm pretty sure it's not a battery issue. Car won't turn over, though. There's a rapid clicking sound accompanied by a motley collection of warning lights (oil level, ABS, VSA, etc). Any idea what this problem might mean?

I actually did finally get it to start. Now it acts normal. I'm pretty sure the car didn't fix itself. I feel sure it's going to rear its head again.

that sounds exactly like a bad battery. you have enough juice to get the lights going, but when the starter is engaged, it can't make the starter turn over... it just clicks..and then you get all the flicking lights, etc...

that's a bad battery. $5 says you change the battery and your problems are solved..

when you get it working again, you may have to reset presets and maybe yoru windows.. i had a problem like this and my windows in the back wouldn't go down and I had to go through that process to reset them... easy to do..

good luck.

I wouldn't buy it at the stealer..get it at Costco/Sears/etc $50-75 and you're good to go

Of course, it may still be under warranty. I got a 2006 and they replaced the battery for free

Turns out that it's actually the alternator. The battery is a bit low, but it's because the alternator isn't charging it. That's what I got from the auto parts guy, anyway (after he ran his diagnostic test).

Now I just need to figure out how to replace the alternator.

Most likely its your battery. mine did the same thing and i replaced it with a red top one. when i took it out, i noticed the fluid level in it was low only after 3 1/2 yrs.
