Anyone have trouble with their touch locks after rain or washing the car. My driver side touch lock won't work after it rains or I wash the car. Gonna take it in to the dealer and see if my warranty covers it.

 

This has been posted many times - usually a problem when going through an automatic car wash rather than "manual" wash. However, should resume locking shortly after.
I've never experienced the problem after rain though

 

VERY common issue in the RL. You might try a search. The door handle is a rare FAIL of Honda technology.

 

This is my only beef I have with my beloved RL. The passenger side handle on my RL has failed yet again. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that both handles have been replaced at least four times each in four years.

In most of the cases the "touch to lock" (aka the dimple) failed. In the latest, the inside of the handle has failed and will not unlock the door.

Each time I have had to take drop off the car, only to get a call where they tell me, "yep, the handle is bad and we have to order a new one", so I then have to pick the car up while the part is on order, and then make another trip in for them to replace it.

In this latest case I went by and waited while they took the car and diagnosed once again that the part failed. I should be getting a call in the next day or so that the part is in.

Fortunately I bought the Acura Care warranty and for this alone I think the $900 I paid for the warranty will pay for itself.

I love this car, but Acura really missed the ball on the handles.

 

I had mine replaced under warranty last year, it failed after I washed the car.
