is the stereo system in an RL and a TL Type S the same?

My parents just got a 2007 RL - barely used. it still smells new. I have a 2007 MDX w/nav.

The stereo in their RL is better than mine. it sounds crisper, the sound is cleaner. Is it in my ears or is the RL sound systme unique to the Acura line.

The MDX is our family car. My DD is on it's last legs and I'm goign to replace it. I am torn between a TL-S and RL. One thing Ilike about thier RL is thesound system. Does the TL-S have the same exact setup - or not?

I know the RL and TL-S are both supposed to have sound cancelling technology...

maybe in my MDX the sond is not as good b/c it's a larger vehicle inside and the sound is more washed out whereas in the RL it's smaller and all the speakers are closer to you???

the stereo in the RL sounded superb. *do all RL's have that same system? so if I found a use 2005 or 2006 - it would have the same stereo as their 2007?

 

IIRC, the TL-S has the same ELS-tuned Panasonic system the base TL does, and has had since 2003.

The RL's system is Bose-designed and engineered. All the RLs have the same system.

 

I think that's the same system in my MDX.

i'm not an audiophile, but I know the difference between crap-good-great-WOW. I thought the RL was WOW.

while the RL uses

ACURA/BOSE® 10-SPEAKER SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM WITH 6-DISC CD, DVD-AUDIO AND DTS® CHANGER AND AM/FM TUNER with XM Satellite Radio
