RL Optional switch placeholder

Hello all,

Does anybody know, what switch would go to the placeholder at the lower left side of the dashboard, right after the mirror adjusting switch? I would need an extra "function" to be installed and this would be the only factory option to install an extra swich.

Thanks for the info.

European Legends have Rear Foglights for use in reduced visibility driving conditions.

Hi db22, the Rear foglights switch (together with the front foglights switch) is integrated into the combination switch (left arm). This placeholder is for something extra, which may exist only in the japanese market, who knows. It is not covers any function neither in the US, nor in the EU market. However, I would like to have an extra switch, unfortunately it has different size from many standard size Honda/Acura switches of Accord/TSX/CRV/Civic models.

Would that be for the cooled seats in the Canadian model?

Check in your manual - you will see the Canadian difference in the switches.

I have check many international sites and I have never seen anything implemented in the location in question. The only thing that the RL does not have is a coffee maker and that must be where the switch goes!

BTW your Japanese key came with the Japanese fob which came with the Japanese car.

hi Guys,

We have checked the original Acura/Honda parts DVD entering different VINS (EU, US, JP, AU, etc.) None of the part pages indicate anything for that space. Maybe it would be something for the future.
In the meantime I have finally picked up my Honda Legend '07. Good to you guys in the US! The Multi-Information Display settings and configruation has only on third of the US functionality in the EU models. No keyless entry, even the doors cannot be automatically locked by reaching certain speed... Anyway this is a great car!

Back to the switch. I tried to look at the pictures of the '07 MDX. It has the optional VSA switch near to the mirror controls, similar as it is in the RL. Unfortunately the picture is just a picture. If you stop by an ACURE dealership, please measure the size of the switch in the new MDX and the placeholder of the RL. If the are similar, I would be happy with the MDX's switch.

Thanks

Zoltan

I have the solution.
For the Canadian models this placeholder is replaced by the headlight washer switch.
In the European models this function is fully integrated with the front windshield washer, but for some reason it is a separated function in Canada.
Btw. does the US models have headlight washer?
