NavTraffic not working in Seattle?
I renewed my XM services 2 weeks ago and last Friday my NavTraffic went out. I can still see the incidents but the speeds are not showing. It's been out for a few days now. I called XM to refresh my NavTraffic and I still see nothing, except the incidents.
Anyone from the Seattle are experiencing the same thing?

same thing here.
I actually just subscribed for the first time to navTraffic a week ago, and i haven't seen traffic flow working yet in Seattle. And It's a bummer since it is the primary reason why i got my navigation system for!!
i scrolled the traffic map to San Francisco, and traffic flow was working there. So it is definitly a problem local to Seattle!
Reading the different thread it looks like there are frequently problems with nav traffic in the seattle area. it's not acceptable to have to pay for a service that doesn't even work...

I don't have an answer for you, but we don't get flow data in most of Texas anyway, so I don't (yet) miss it. I've found the incident data provides me enough info to be a valuable asset. In fact, I avoided a HUGE, several-mile backup on the interstate just last Sunday because of the incident notice. Managed to whip by on an adjacent road and avoided probably an hour sitting still in traffic!
At any rate, it has to be something amiss in the reporting. Either XM isn't getting the reports or they're somehow failing to uplink it to the satellites.

the problem is that without traffic flow, navtraffic is pretty much useless in seattle: There is a lot of traffic entirely unrelated to incidents.
Also, it specifically says on xmnavtraffic web site that traffic flow is supported in seattle.

I posted a possible solution on another thread.

I hope this works for you.

so i spent quite a while on the phone with xmradio support telling them the problem had to be on their side. (they kept wanted me to check the navigation unit or refresh the signal). And i just noticed that traffic flow now works

I finally got my Navtraffic back! But I didn't do anything... After letting my car sitting out in the sun for the whole day, as I turned the ignition and was going home, Navtraffic was back!
