So i had a mishap with my FOB that ended up with the entire FOB smashed on the road. Good times. What has been your guys' experience with new FOBs? Can i program this myself? Does a dealer need to do it? What if i have a super fancy ODB device, would that work? I was reading on this FB group that dealers dont program FOBS unless they are purchased by the dealership - which i could honestly see them making such a ridiculous policy.

i appreciate the google link...lol- although, i did "Google" before i posted because i know how anal everyone is on here about not using the search function. And before anyone states "the directions are on the back" -i tried that too and it didnt work for me so the post was to simply to see if its a dealer thing or not. Thanks tho.
