Cool 2005 RL nav screen all pink-now what

I have a 2005 RL and the other morning the navi screen turned pink, it was 45 outside, a few times it flickered,,,thought after it warmed up it would turn back but it has not,, it has been in the 80's. Is the screen toast??

do you have anything aftermarket that would cause the plug to come loose or interrupt the signal?

45 is not cold, and I'm even from Texas. (You aren't talking Kelvin; are you?) Commercial electronics are usually rated to 0 degrees C. Automotive electronics should be rated to -40 degrees C.

You either have a bad connection, a bad signal source, or a bad screen. My guess is that the green level has been lost in one of those places.

Use the diagnostics menu (3 finger enable) and test the screen colors to determine the color rendition ability of the screen.

Yes do what he said. I believe you have to hold map, menu, and cancel.

Thank you for your support. ( would have issued a warning before the specifics because the member may get enthusiastic and start playing with yaw angles).

Flygirlpainter, were you ever able to resolve the issue? I have the same problem. I purchased a replacement display monitor on ebay and that did not fix the problem. I followed the suggestion on this thread to access the diagnostic menu and when testing the colors, green is definitely missing. There is no aftermarket gear inline. Any thoughts from the experts out there? I'm thinking I may unplug and re-plug all the connections a few times, or wiggle them to see if something is loose.

Did anyone find a fix for this? Besides buying a new/used unit? My 05 RL screen works but is a pinkish color to it now.

I have the same issue! And sometimes if I hit a pothole or something and the car jerks the screen turns red for a bit. Anybody have a solution or an idea? It's annoying to say the least.

Hmmm, pink NAV screen? I heard somewhere that means the car was used for a while by a Mary Kay sales rep.

After testing color using 3 finger method, found out it lacks of blue. For those have pink navi, it lacks of green

Any updates? My screen went pink for a bit today. I assume the screen is the culprit.

It's not the screen, it's the navigation unit in the trunk. The video control board went bad. I am living with it now....
