Subwoofer issues (static)

My 05 RL has a completely stock stereo that is currently getting static out of the subwoofer after the vehicle has been running for awhile. Sub has no output when stereo is on. I tried replacing the sub with another stock sub and it did not fix the issue. All the other speakers seem to work just fine (center console speaker might be out?). Static continues no matter if radio is on or off, opening doors doesn't stop it. I'm think it maybe an amp issue. Any help would be appreciated. Don't want to dump a lot of money into the car, it's just my daily driver. I just want to be able to drive without the obnoxious static and not have to leave the sub unplugged.
