Key Fob Beeps.

I unplugged my battery to do some work and plugged it back in. Now when I press the key fob to lock the door, I do not hear the beep nor do the lights flash. I have gone into the settings to turn these on but still nothing. Otherwise the key fob works as it should. Anyone have any idea what I might be over looking?

It sounds like the factory alarm isn't engaging, did you check all the fuses?

Something is open. An open door, trunk, or hood will all indicate that something is wrong, and you shouldn't leave your car in the Wal-Mart parking lot over night.

Sounds like maybe the circuit for the alarm is still open.

There are eight trigger points for the alarm system as follows:
1 each for the doors
1 for the hood
1 for the trunk
1 for the radio
1 for the ingnition

You said you "unplugged" you battery so I will assume you disconnected it. Did you key in the radio code so that the radio is now working again? You might also want to try and open and close the hood to make sure the pin for the hood is properly closed.
Just some quick thoughts.

Nothing is open though and no electrical work was done. All I did was disconnected and reconnected the Airbag. When I get in I still hear the double beep. The doors lock and open when I use the fob, its just the beep sound that doesn't engage. Its acting like its been put in silent mode like when I first got it, and I changed it to make the beeps when the the fob is pressed and I cant get it back. I think its something simple, just not sure what.

Have you gone into the Settings menus and looked there yet? There is a Keyless Lock Acknowledgment setting that you can set. Default is On though, but maybe somehow yours is set to off.

Try unhooking the battery again, wait 15 minutes then try again.

Outside of that, I would try locking someone in the car (wait a minute of two for the factory alarm to engage) then have that person unlock the door and get out.

If the alarm goes off then I'm going to reiterate to check your fuses, if it doesn't go off there's a more serious problem.

So I triggered the alarm and still nothing. I then pulled the battery for about 20 mins and voila, back to normal.

When in doubt, reset everything.

Glad to hear it's all good.
