Hope I can get some advice/help on this....
Just bought a 2008 RL. I had a DICE electronics Ipod adapter in my BMW and it really worked well. I'd like to do the same with the RL.
1. Any advice/help re how to do this? Should I let a pro handle it?
2. Has anyone seen any problems with this ? I have the OEM tech pkg/nav system

Also, I'd like to hardwire a radar detector...I'd like to mount it high next to the rear view mirror.
1. Any help/advice for this?
2. Where can I get info re best place to connect ?

I mounted my V1 next to the rear view mirror and had a lot of trouble with interference with the Nav system. It would alarm for no apparent reason and in a manner that I had not heard before. I even sent it back to Valient who returned it with a note saying nothing was wrong with the detector.
I ended up mounting it in the top left corner of the window and wired it into the sun visa mirror wiring behind the visa mounting base , and I have not had a false alarm since. There are more pro ways of doing this, but I am happy with the way I have done it.
