Does anyone have a radar detector with the windshield mount sunction cups..? for some reason I cannot get it setup correctly so it doesn't rattle everytime I hit a bump in the road, no matter how small.

It is an escort 8500..

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

 

I mount my stealthy STi Driver using the visor clip accessory in place of the suction cups. By mounting it to the extreme side by the drivers door it's nearly invisible from outside the car.

 

Try changing the angle on your suction-cup mount by bending it a little. Since the angle of each windshield is different, changing the angle of the bracket can allow the rubber stoppers on the front of the detector to make better contact with the glass, hopefully reducing the amount of chatter that you hear.

I have an 8500 x50 mounted on suction-cups just below my mirror and I don't have any rattle.
