Can some one chime in
I am planning on installing OEM rear view camera. I did not get a chance to check any of the cars that have this feature. I have checked 09 TL and it have overlaying lines on the screen showing the path of the car when you back up. Can I get the same feature on the RL.
If I'm not mistaken I have only seen the aftermarket cameras with the back up lines.

If your RL is a 2005, it will take considerable modding as noted in the thread linked above to get things working.
If your RL is a 2006, there is already space for wiring and you just have to follow the instructions in the kit. It does require drilling a hold IIRC.
Disclaimer: With my 2006 RL, the dealer did the install so I only got to see the result.
EDIT: 1. Thanks for pointing out that thread, HEAVY_RL, it is now in the 3G RL Garage. 2. Mark, I recall that your RL is 2006? The OEM camera does not have lines to mark your path. At least mine didn't.

I guess it is not me to do a DIY I always tend to mess up things.

Mine is a 2006. I asked the dealer and they want $1800 for installation. When I pointed them that the camera along with the mounting kit is $390 (curry acura parts), they are saying that it is not OEM. I dont want to argue. I think its time for me to find an another dealer. My bad there are none with in 75 mile radius.
