BT45-ACU not fitting 2006 RL

Can someone help me understand why the BT45-ACU does not fit my 2006 RL with Navigation. The connectors on the BT45-ACU are bigger than the ones on my actual unit.

I have setup a return with Amazon. I'm thinking that I will need the BT45-HON3.

Any ideas why the BT45-ACU doesn't work?

Because you're supposed to plug it into the XM tuner. Are you trying to plug into the radio?

That's where I am plugging it into. Left rear panel of the car.

***Update and resolution***

I reached out to USA Spec. After some troubleshooting they were able to determine that my RL does not have the "tech package". The BT45-ACU is for the RL's with the Tech Package even if you have navigation.

Currently in the process of returning the ACU for the HON3.

Issue resolved.

Good to know, did not realize that a distinction existed with that unit.

I had the ACU and it worked fine on my 05 RL with TECH. I got the BT45-HON3 only to have bluetooth. Does not work. When I select the XM button to change the source/mode my radio head unit does nothing. I have sent USA spec the complaint. I am waiting for a reply. I have hooked it up correctly.

I'm thinking my unit was replaced or something.

I received the BT45-HON3 today and it does not fit. The pin counts look to be the same but the order is different. I have attached a photo of my XM Tuner here so you can see.

When I had the BT45-ACU, the connector had too many pins. I think the ACU has 20 pins and my connector has 14 pins.

Any ideas?

The bt45-acu should have been a 14-pin connector, fits my 05 rl w/nav
