2006 RL Battery Drain

HI all, just this last week my battery went dead over night and we knew it was old so we went and got it check and replaced as they said it was dead. Fast forward to this last Tuesday, I went to start my car again and it was dead, the new battery kept its charge for a while but something is obviously draining it overnight at this point. I have taken the bluetooth module out of the passenger side kick panel, What are some other known battery drains that I should look into for the second gen RL's?

Not simple to troubleshoot, you need to use special tools to check current flow / drainage and pull one fuse at a time to find out which circuits does it.
you better off take it to someone expert with tools to do it.

Is your radio working good? Any issues with getting stuck on HFL even after disconnecting the HFL Module? This is what I experienced with on my 06RL and the cause was the main radio electronics. Replaced the radio (got it from eBay): no more battery drain and the radio and HFL system are working fine.

So my radio does work, when I plug the fuse in. I have the fuse unplugged so the batter doesn't drain. I did have some issues even back before I had posted this with the hands free link randomly turning on and getting stuck, but it would eventually go away. I have jsut been driving with no radio for about 3 months because I couldn't find anything online and was getting no where. Since I have the HFL module disconnected and it still drains when the fuse the radio is on is plugged in, i'm thinking it might be the radio.

I’ve read that the HF unit can drain batteries, many unplug the unit located on the passanger side of the car at the feet of the passanger on the right. Might look it up and see if that’s your problem.

How are your door handle touch locks? Do they work? They tend to overheat and burn and might cause the battery to drain.

First thing that comes to my mind is the Hands Free Link. But if that's been taken out my second guess would be door handle sensors and/or fuse #7.
