XM Troubles - Again!

XM Troubles - Again!
Today my radio is consistently jumping to the Preview 1 Channel and I don't know what to do to fix it. This used to happen randomly before but now I can't keep it for more than a minute locked on to a channnel before it jumps back to Preview. As soon as I lock onto a channel I read the message on the display above the LCD screen "Loading" instead of the channel I'm locked onto. Then after about 30 seconds it jumps to Preview again.
Please help! I'm getting more and more frustrated with this XM business - I'm definitely going to drop it at the end of my paid period unless they fix all the bugs, inlcuding the loud commercials.

You may want to call XM as FABVSIX suggests. There were some instances where Acura's free one year of service was atually entered by XM as a 3 month trial. The 3 month trial is what many other dealers offer and XM may have gotten yours confused. It is worth the call to see or register and check it out online.

XM intermittent outages!
Mine has done on two separate occasions the exact same thing as yours qwas doing today. The first time was about a month ago and the second time just about one hour ago. In both cases, I got the audio portion of a selected channel but not the info. Then, the display read "Loading" for about 45 secs. each time before jumping back to the preview channel (001).
IOW, the 2 times this happened, it took the radio exactly 45 secs. to jump to the preview channel.
Evantually, after about 20 to 30 min., all was OK and the jump to 001 stopped. All info displayed on the screen has been accurate since...well, except fot that other 20 to 30 sec. delay in refreshing new info.
One thing I noticed about the blank channel displays (IOW, displying only the pre-set "channel number" instead of the XM station) is that, in addition to forcing the station display by switching between XM1 and XM 2 (or manually setting the desired channel), simply turning the unit off and on will correct the problem as well.

I encountered the same problem, about 12:30 CDT, on 5/17/02. If that's when it happened to you, it was probably the same problem.
I called XM Radio and used the automated system to do a refresh, and the problem was gone about 10 minutes later. However, I'm not sure if the refresh fixed it, or if the source of the problem (downloading new channel data?) just went away.

Did any of you have the Acura Link update performed? Seems a lot of these problems occurred after the update. Unsure if the newer cars already have the update, but the update caused a lot of XM problems. I do not think it is an XM problem but an Acura problem. It seems XM would have nothing to do with the labels being retained on the pre-set channels. That is in memory of the radio. I believe it is also related to the slow changing of song info I have experienced after the update.
I see 1HOT NSX posted on XM Fan and both replies indicated it is more than likely a problem with the radio. I agree. I have advocated calling Acura Customer Service to report the problem so they can document the wide spread issues with the radio. I don't have confidence the dealerships will contact Acura to report the problems.

Timing is similar
Well, my "loading" and return to Preview channel problems occurred at about the same time as those of you who have reported a time of day: Sometime around 2 PM EST. The problem disappeared sometime later that afternoon. This makes me wonder if it actually IS an XM problem, rather then Acura's system...

FYI: According to this new RL review, XM engineers helped design the whole system.
