Window Help

O6 RL here. Battery went dead and after getting a boost, the window do not roll down or up with the remote. Any ideas? I know this has to be a programming issue. Any thought would be appreciated. BTW, I did do a search.

You need to reset them.

Put the window all the way down, roll it all the way up, and hold the switch for 10 more seconds. Should do the trick.

the windows auto up and down with the window switch, the problem is when you try and do it with the remote.

I think with the remote the windows are only supposed to go down ?. To make them go back up you have to use the key I thought.

jftjr, my p/w's went out and I just tried that trick, it worked. Wonder why acura did that. I had to do the 10 sec hold on 3 of the 4 windows (driverside was ok).

From the 2006 Owners Manual, p 179

You cannot close the windows or the
moonroof with the remote.

You can open and close the windows
and moonroof with the built-in key in
the driver’s door lock.

The windows only go down with the remote... not up. Never made sense to me either, but there it is. I guess they figure someone's going to roll up all the windows with their baby in the car, or something.

That little hold-the-switch trick is from an Acura service bulletin someplace.

New Flash!!

The windows, sunroof DO go up and down with the remote, on the 06 RL. SinceI lost battery power, the dealer has to reset that feature.

Really?!! Great news on another tip and trick!

How do you close with the 06 RL since it is not in the owners manual?

What is the button combo?

Press the unlock once, then a second time and hold. Opposite for up. Try it, you will like it

The "ONLY" way to get the windows and sunroof to close from outside the car. Is to put the key from the remote in the door handle turn it to lock, release ,and turn toward lock again and hold. They will all go up and close
