How much on average would it run for? And where can I get them if I can get the money. I know I've been posting a lot of threads about where to buy certain things but I'm doing it out of curiosity pretty much even though I probably won't be buying this at least someone out there can use this thread to buy it and discover some information but yeah I just wanna know if I can even afford or even buy it lol thanks guys!

 

They run about $1100 IIRC. However, they aren't available anymore through our previous source. You will have to find someone over here willing to swap unless you have connections to Japan or Europe. (This price may be for just 1 side since thats their price here.)

As for starting threads about 8 year old mods that have all been documented for future members, a search will usually do the job.

 

You may want to contact JnC. He is a member/vendor on here that does custom headlight modifications. I've never heard any complaints about his work and has done work for hundreds of AZine members. You'll have to have your car down for a few days while he works on your headlights, but it will be far less expensive and much easier than trying to source a set of JDM headlights.

 

I have been working on a Clear corner i have made a few not 100% perfect yet. but still alot cheaper than $1200 or more.

 

I have a buddy in Japan who is on a business trip right now, but will be back in around a week or so. As soon as he gets back he is supposed to be looking for a few things for me, to include the clear cornered headlights. I will ask him to see how many he can track down if any. Not going to get my hopes up. If he does find some extras and they are at a decent price, I will put them up for sale here for cost paid plus shipping after I get mine of course. haha. Once again though, not going to get my hopes up.

He just got back this week and I talked to him yesterday. He told me he was going to look around this weekend if he has some free time and get me some prices. I will keep everyone here updated on what I find out.

 

Dont forget JDM Headlights are not designed for american roads as they are RHD. so the light will go to the wrong side of the road possibly blinding other drivers.

 

What were you expecting? The USDM RL headlights list at $1,100 per side. Even at wholesale pricing, they are still over $800 each. The JDM headlights have to be purchased from a dealer in Japan, imported into the US and marked up for profit. Obviously, they are not going to be cheap.

Your best option is still contacting JnC.

Had my USDM ones modified to different internal color and modified amber (darkened look). It's amazing.
