What similar car would you replace with this?
Looking at possibly buying a newer car (used) to replace this RL but I cannot find any cars that I like more than this one. This has honestly been the best daily driver car I have ever owned.
I love the looks of it, the power is fine, the interior is nice, and the reliability is great.
Is there any newer 2010-2014 that is out right now you would think of moving to?
The CTSV is about the only car I can say that interests me.
Has to be a 4 door sedan.
Post a picture of the car if possibly or I will after your recommendation.
I am not in any hurry to get anything new. Just wondering what is out there and what you all like.

Price range? Size preference?
The CTS now has a twin turbo V6 too. GS350 is probably the closest in nature to the RL. Obviously LS460 if you want the extra lux and power. The Hyudai Genesis has evolved wonderfully within the past 6 years. Infiniti (and Nissan in general) lean more toward the sport side and they're pulling out a twin turbo for the Q50. A6, A7, A8, E350, CLS 550, 535i, the list goes on. Hell, even an Taurus SHO is a good option. Chevy SS if the CTS-V is too rich for your wallet.
What excites you in a car? What brands are off limits (for valid reasons or otherwise)? The mid to full-size luxury sedan field is stacked with options.
2013 thread, but still relevant. https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...ble-rl-899037/

When my 2G RL got totaled I had a limited amount of time to replace it. The other driver's insurance company and the body shop dicked around forever before finally declaring it a total loss and it left me with a few days with a paid for rental car to find a replacement. (All days that I had to work). I ended up replacing it with a 2012 TL. I would say the two cars are quite even with each other. The RL has a better overall quality feel to it, is a bit classier and more rare. The TL is a better performance car in every aspect, has much newer technology and gets better fuel economy.
Before my car got totaled I wasn't actively seeking a new car so I hadn't gone and driven a lot of vehicles but I do keep up on everything automotive related and work in the industry so I have a pretty good handle on what's good and what's not so good. When I had my TL, I always said that if my RL got totaled tomorrow I would likely replace it with a late model 6MT SH-AWD TL, (probably those exact words on this forum many times). Unfortunately, with the limited time I had, I was unable to track down a manual TL and ended up with a 6-speed auto. The transmission is light years better than the 5-speed auto that comes in the 05-10 but still not perfect. Of course, I realized after I bought my car that a new clutch for a 4G TL is somewhere in the neighborhood of $3700 after labor.

If raw power is what you are looking for then no look no further then the CTS-V, fantastic car for the full-size segment, only thing that really is a huge negative on that car is MPG. Good friend of mine owned one, (4-door) and I use to remember how much fun that car would be getting on the highway. It was his daily and he did just fine for about a year. The major complaint he had was it was really a fast car but ride comfort was not the best and he felt like there was a compromise for comfort vs. performance.
I highly suggest you give the 5-series BMW (35i & 50i) a try. Generally speaking, the 35i is a kick in the pants and is plenty of motor, mated to the 8-Speed ZF Trans the the thing really fires off. The 50i although more powerful I believe is more designed towards comfort, it's plenty fast believe me, but if you want sporty you're better off the 35i. Both of these cars are excellent, however make sure you buy atleast a 2013 model, and there are some great deals to be had. Plus BMW takes care of maintenance during its warranty period.
Outside of that, the full-size segment has a ton of great offerings. It's just a matter of taste.

The Broncos won the Super Bowl, and the biggest bad ass in the NFL is an Aggie. All is good.

Thanks man. Heather wanted to name him Bryson so I gave him his middle name, Dennis, (named after my dad). I have no idea what made her so obsessed with the name Bryson but I was honestly at a loss for names with this one so I wasn't going to argue. I named Abbey so I guess we're even.
