Used RL in my future??

I have had 2 legends, an nsx and a 99 tl. For the last 3 yrs I have had a 2004 Audi a4 cab quattro. Real nice car - great in the snow, but not really as reliable as the Acuras. I am think of an 06 or so RL. Anything I should look out for? Are they reliable? Good in the snow? What do our don't you like about it?

Thanks
Myron

I drove (4 years each) an Audi A4 followed by an Audi S4 before getting the RL — and I never looked back.

The '05 2G RL had the most issues being the first year production. The '06 is an excellent choice because you can pick one up for a real bargain. Due to all the tech toys, you should definitely get an extended warranty.

The RL is great in the snow .... as long as you have snow tires. Driving in the snow on the OEM Michelin tires is like being in a 300hp toboggan.

"It was noted that the all-wheel drive and stability systems on the competitive vehicles tended to intervene more abruptly and severely than the Acura vehicles. In comparison, the operation of the SH-AWD system and VSA was barely perceptible (a good thing!), and enabled corners to be taken on very slick surfaces without drama. Furthermore, some of those corners could be taken comfortably at twice the speed of the competition, although driving experience was a factor in achieving this level of performance."

even with the limited snow value OEM Michelin tires...performance in snow is superb on packed snow roads that we see after snows. I never got the chance to test the car on icy roads.

I've had my car for two winters. It snows heavily around here. I did just fine with all season tires. Could I have done better with snow tires? Undoubtedly.
