Uni-Quad Tips Installed. Keepers for sure.
OK, so after 3 different tips I think I’ve found some keepers. I first went with larger oval tips which looked ok though a bit too much like OEM, then off to quads, well two different quads, first ones did not fit the bumper area and rubbed up against the paint (big no no) , then some smaller quads that looked ok but a bit small in diameter which did not fit the car proportionally IMO, and finally these uni-quad tips with a nice mesh inside. Looks aggressive, fits the bumper area nicely, and does not give the tacked on look the quads prior gave. As I am tired of cutting and welding on new tips, I’m done with this mod.
Enjoy.

Thank you everyone. Those are the Magnaflows installed also, just that I have had a tough time finding tips to complement the rear of the car so I have been trying different tips. I'm keeping these tips though. Ballinger, since you live in So Ca PM and I will be happy to supply you with the Exhaust shop I got these from. It would be pick up, located in Pasadena.

Don't take it personally, but I'm not a fan. I kind of liked them until the rear shot where you can obviously see that one exhaust pipe that feeds both "tips." I'd like 'em better if they appeared to be more functional. Of course, I realize that it's not important that *I* am happy with them...in the same way that my opinion on big, chrome wheels doesn't really matter.
Correction to my post above. I mic'd them and they will not fit the stock muffler outlet. Though the inlet is 2" the outlet is more like 2.5". They can be made to fit with a competent exhaust guy. If you want play........

I agree on big chrome wheels which is why mine are polished. So we are not too far off.
Thanks for not taking it personally.
Actually, it seems you "get it" on the tips. We agree that there is no functional point of four "tips" if there are only two pipes. Adding two extra tips adds unnecessary weight and adds zero performance. Yeah, the weight is negligible, but it's just one of those things that I've always had to chuckle about...the need to add something that doesn't do anything. It's a little like those 5-blade razors that are out now. How many blades does one really need? Maybe some day somebody is going to decide that six tips makes sense somehow, too.
You got me on the "polished" thing. While I still don't like big, shiny wheels, at least you don't have ultra-heavy chrome ones!

Mod'in cars is always subjective. The last thing I would want would be for several RL owners to go out and mod their car similar to mine, but to each their own which is why a few come here to post and share their 'interest.' I have not owned a stock car in years and most likely never will. Most are actually content with a stock RL and I will refrain from what I think a stock RL looks like similar to a stock SC430.
Correction on the chrome wheels though, chroming these days only adds ounces to a wheel. My only contention with them is the delicacy as once their curbed nothing can be done other than a strip and rechrome. Time and money. I curbed my wheels twice so far and on both occasions was able to sand them down, polish it up, and buff to like new condition with no hint of damage. Cannot do that with painted or chrome rims.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not against modding cars, at all!
I haven't modded my RL much because, to me, it's my comfortable luxury car. The performance is acceptable enough that it doesn't detract from what I really bought the car for.
I own another car that is far more performance-oriented and I have HEAVILY modded it.
I actually sold two other very heavily modded machines because three two-seater sports cars just got a bit tiresome, so I bought a "grown-up" car. I did everything to them...body work/paint/engine swaps/transplants/rebuilds, complete suspension upgrades, etc, etc, etc. I finally grew tired of always seeing something else that I wanted to do to them and feeling like I was never "done."
My RL just seems like it's okay the way it is. It doesn't scream for anything to be done. I'm okay that it's a bit "Plain Jane" with the stock wheels, etc. Its nice to have a car that I don't feel the need to change everything on. Contentment.
