Strömung Interest Poll

Hey Guys,

I'm Looking to gauge interest in a full, hand-made, Strömung Exhaust built specifically for the 05-08 RLs. These exhausts are known for the Quiet but exotic and sporty sound they emit as well as releasing some pinned up power.

I did some research and it looks like it's either go with big circular tips or go custom.

Strömung is a producer of fine quality exhausts for all types of Sports Cars, including BMW. There is also different tips to choose from, meaning you guys can choose from the tips you'd like as a community for the production of these exhausts.

I will get my guy on the horn and work something out for you guys if you're interested.

The level of quality you're going to be receiving on these handmade exhausts:

Here is a sound clip on a V6 for sound purposes.

Keep in mind these aren't machine welded. These are hand welded stainless steel. Pics aren't that great, though. Heck, that particular exhaust isn't the best one he's done. Let me source some better images so you can feel more at ease.

I understand. You're probably more prone to chose the big round tips. Vote "No" and carry on kind sir.

I can find out if the tips can be staggered for you guys.

A single oval similar to the factory exhaust would be nice.

A true dual, header back system would be a nice addition to this car, and I bet the sound would be intoxicating but yet subtle for everyday driving.

Check out https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5368 .

If the J-pipe goes through, the exhaust is a straight forward application as well.

I have a solid relationship with Scott, owner of Stromung, so getting prototypes and test fits made is a non-issue.

Welcome to AZ, B+O! We definitely welcome your participation. Because you are not a site vendor, I will have to clear this feeler with our admins before we allow this to continue and I am therefore temporarily locking the thread.
