Should I add a Front aspec kit front lip or full kit?

I am thinking about just getting a front aspec kit because my car came with splash guards and they scratched the paint underneath. What do you guys think? get the scratches buffed out for a full kit or just the front lip? heres what my car looks like in its current stage [url]https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=699802&page=2

I'd do a full kit. The side strakes add to the character of the side and I personally like the rear part the best, with the diffuser-look lip. In fact, at one point I was considering purchasing the rear lip alone.

Where can you even buy partial kits for the A-SPEC stuff? IF you can, are they even more expensive than the full kit is per piece... bet it is.

A full kit means i must get my fenders wet sanded or possibly repainted where the splash guards rubbed!

I actually prefer the rear bumper only, if only to fit larger tips.

Then your options are:

a) just get the fenders sanded/painted or
b) find someone willing to split a kit with you.

I'd go with (a) myself, but that's just me.

I found a dealer that sells the front valance as a separate piece, so it can be done.

Go to www.myacura.com and go to estore section. You can get it seperately. I got my rear bumper spoiler.

Quick question: If one purchases and installs an A-Spec kit, would that void the warranty?

If you have a dealer install A-Spec parts, you get a 12-month Acura warranty along with it. When it comes with a brand-new car, you get the full new-car warranty with the parts.

If you install it yourself, there is no warranty. However, you do not void the car's warranty and only if the kit causes damage does that part of the warranty become void.

So I tried using www.myacura.com to see if I could fine a Aspec lip kit, but no luck. Im not sure if im doing it incorrectly or the part only shows up if there's one in stock at my local dealership? Anyone know where I might be able to find one?

Greatly appreciate any help... and I did use the search function... its what brought me to this thread.

i think the car would look weird / unbalanced to have a front lip kit, but nothing on teh sides. the front would look great from straight on..but from any sort of angle, wouldn't you really notice the difference in the ground clearance??? the front bumper and the bumper area right behind the front wheels would look off/ too high???

honestly, I think the Aspec kit looks really really good, but I think a lowered RL with just the splash gaurds and a spoiler, and upsized nice wheels, looks slick too!

try eBay or call up Findlay acura and mentions Acurazine. Also there are couple acura parts guys on here, i'm sure you could work out a deal and don't pay more than $300 for the front.

One thing I noticed when looking in the estore is that the Aspec kits won't show if you have 2005 entered in as the RL year. However, if you have 2006 entered in, it gives the Aspec kits as options. Although listed under 2006, the kits should fit the 2005.

call Tim at hondacuraworld.com (888-RAY-LAKS) or the fellows at Curry Acura
Here is the RL page
http://curryacuraparts.com/rl.html
They also have a performance parts page, which would have the A-Spec suspension, also available on ebay

I am not sure of the degree of paint damage done by the splash guards... but if you think wet sanding may cure it, I have a suggestion.

I recently used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with a DA buffer and I am stunned by the results. For a spot area, low on the vehicle it is certainly worth a try and inexpensive. Also follow up with a sealer/glaze and top it off with fresh wax. If it is minor surface scratches and scuffing, it may surprise you.

Get the full kit. This is not a Civic or Accord where you have random lip/kits on the car. Full kit brings out a nice effect on the car.

how much was just the front Mugen lip? that is a nice idea - to mix and match the parts - as the front Mugen spoiler is the best part of the kit... you then add the rears and sides from the aspec and it looks like a complee set...but you saved money! nice.
