setting up garage entry with RL

i tried to set this up in the past with no luck. i followed the instructions in the manual. The garage door opener signal or something (maybe the battery is low?) is weak because it typically takes several tries to open the garage door with the supplied remote.

any tips on this? i got this to work in my old house with my 2000 TL.

i have 2006 RL now.

Martin DC2500, I checked the online owner's manual PDF and it doesn't seem to support the 2nd part of the instructions in the RL manual (i.e. it doesn't have those specific programmable buttons it talks about in the RL manual).

I tried the 1st part of the instructions and it never flashes quickly...

You may have a rolling code garage door opener. Try the setup for that and see what happens.

Did you clear the old codes before you started?

Go here:

http://www.homelink.com/program.php

The manual is not quite correct. I had to use the website to set up my RL correctly. If it doesn't work (it may take up to several tries, but it worked on the first try for me), then it's dealer time to rule out a dead module.

It took me a while to get my set, you have to have patience with the rolling codes.

Also make sure you clear out the codes in there now first.

Maybe you need to sync it with the motor base?
