RL police chase
RL police chase
I was hap-hazardly browsing youtube and came across a police chase in Baltimore from last year.
Upon closer inspection, I realized that the car is an RL!!
Never knew that RL drivers were so badass.
I'm guessing the car was stolen. Surprising, nonetheless, to see an RL involved in a police chase!

Good find!
The driver obviously wasn't aware of the RL's superior cornering ability or he would have been whipping around those side streets. Now that would have been interesting to see if the cops could have kept up with him.
The car probably was stolen, so nice to see that the owner's car wasn't damaged as happens so often in these chases.

I thought it was halarious cop trying to break the window...even if he cracked it the tints would stop anything interesting.
Also, the camera politely zoomed out as the cops started beating the suspects, an unspoken agreement between the news media and the police force...
either way, those two did not seem like they really wanted to get away and they stopped for a stop light...come on!
Did I mention they had their doors unlocked?
lol once again at the cop trying to break the window and failing...that's when he would have gotten shot...

LOL this has happened to me before when i got pulled over in Jersey. Cop asked me to take the key out of the ignition and i said i dont have a key. He said "What?? Excuse me. I DONT HAVE TIME FOR GAMES TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION!!" I then politely said officer i'm reaching for my keys in my pocket dont shoot me and took the key out of my pocket and said look this is my key then i unattached the knob thing and gave it to him like here and he stepped back in amazement. Yeah that was an awful night.
SH-AWD FTW!
Why not just turn the car off?? If they see you clearly going through the motions, and hear the engine stop you can then explain (if it gets to that).
More and more cars have pushbutton ignitions these days, so the long arm of the law had better adjust their ways to keep up.
Thinking about the elbow-banger in the video, the RL does have pretty thick side glass, doesn't it?
The RL really is ULEV -- Ultra Law-Enforcement-resistant Vehicle.

Just trust me,
Just a reminder of what Acura is up against as they are creating the exterior design on the next RL. The chief designer had better get it right this time.
I suppose the police will rue the day when they have to chase a CTS-V instead of an RL.

Leo is right, they'd have to get out the puncture strips FOR SURE.

why do the cops always have to punch the suspect in the face all the time did not look like they where resisting arrest. For the RL yes they did not know how to drive it when I am on a wet street I am always going sideways and full throttle and control l love the power of the Acura RL.
