Rl Led plate lights problems. (Help)

I bought some Led plate lights last year on eBay. Today I had my backup camera installed by the Acura dealer and noticed that the led light is now out on the plate. Not sure if it had anything to do with the install but one led just flickers and the other one is completely out. I thought led’s last a lifetime… exactly a year from today I had them installed. Any suggestion on where to get good replacement and what might have triggered this?

Cheap bulbs, most likely. Do you remember if the base of the bulb was plastic or metal? I had cheaper bulbs before that did the same thing. This time I bought from v-LEDs.com

Agreed on the cheap bulb dieing... Did you or the dealer rule out the bulb being loose?

I just went outsite earlier to look at the camera and notice the bulds are out. They were working fine yesterday, but the camera was installed today.

I've been in there to put my camera in and its possible someone with big meat hooks could have loosened them.

But there could be a number of theories, 1. bulb out, 2. wire loose, 3. no power... etc. All require trouble shooting.

Do you know where i could get instructions for changing the bulbs again? I am under warranty, but the dealer may say i installed those led's myself and not cover me for normal replacement...which i would not want anyway.

Much appreciated heavy!!
