power windows

i have a 05 RL with 105k. I recently had to replace the driver side door lock acuator, which set me back about 340 from the dealer. They said it was just normal wear and tear because the driver door is used the most. Now i am starting to realize that if i put all the windows down at the same time the driver side window goes up and down at abou thalf the speed of the other 3? Is this a sign of the motor about to wear out?...is there anything you can do to try to make it get back to speed or prolong the life of the motor? I am out of warranty and even little problems like this are costly at the dealer...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does not sound good, but I would at least use the Honda silicone spray to lubricate the vertical sliding surfaces. This actually worked on my 2G Legend to help it move up and down faster, and was recommended on a 2G Legend site for all power windows on a regular basis. Those power windows were not the fastest.

Get the spray at your local Honda or Acura dealer for about $5 and is recommended for window tracks, door latches, etc.

If you aren't comfortable tackling the fixes yourself I'd find a local Honda mechanic that you trust to handle it.

The key word being "trust", some will work on the side for far less money.

no there both a head ach! The best thing to do is to be friends with someone at the dealer and find out who is the best TECH in the hole area you live around then be friends with them and your car will be mint like mine. Let me know your problem and i will tell you the best way to fix it.
