positive review from top-speed

Found this nice review from topspeed.com . I can't actually read past the first page 'cause something they're doing isn't firefox or linux friendly, but I'll try it again tomorrow at the office.

Interesting how Europeans like the styling, but we think it is plain here in the USA. I wonder what Europeans would think about the TL?

That's pretty funny -- someone should post a poll asking what kind of computer we're all using

(I'm on a 20" iMac G5)

Haha...I'm reading from work and it's not working in either IE or Firefox. Doubt it'd work any better on my Macbook at home though.

I'm on a Qosmio G35 660 (toshiba) laptop. 17in HD, HDDVD, 2 gigRAM; 256 video; 120gigx2 (240) RAID drives! networked with my Xbox 360 by LAN. I don't mess with girly apples! My RL might not be the fastest wheels out there but don't mess around with my "puter" its "smokin" ! Just consider that you can get a laptop now that has similar specs to an 80's Cray super computer! Sorry fans but this Vista baby eats apples for breakfast and then some

Says something about the demographic, doesn't it

I was a Mac developer back in the early nineties, and the wife is a die-hard Mac user.

I'm able to get past the first page with Safari now. Amazing how the Euro version gets features that we don't. Sometimes I wish Honda Japan would just sell the car directly instead of letting Acura deal with it.

Me, too. Check out the last page. I didn't know we had a pedestrian protection system! Apparently, if the car senses contact with a pedestrian, it pops the rear part of the hood up by 10 cm. Cool! Though I hope I never need to make use of it.

Honda has been subtly promoting the passenger protection package commercially. In the commercial they show the crash test lab and talk about the crash dummies being tested outside of the car. I believe a white Accord is depicted in the test lab. Likely it is not sexy for enthusiasts to notice, but Honda is conservative and softly speaks to safety, green, value and quality minded consumers. Our RL is also a launch vehicle for Honda's ACE (Advanced Compatability Engineering): It claims to distribute collision energy evenly and redirect it away from the passenger compartment, while at the same time, minimizing damage to other impacted vehicles. This is accomplished by using numerous grades of steel (typically four) which crumple in key areas and remain rigid in others. (Wikipedia).

But hey, Acura customers really just want to know about rocks and trees.

The pedestrian protection system is comprised of a soft bulbous nose, popup hood (its a passive system, no real magic there) and wipers that minimize injuries. The whole idea is to distribute crash forces on the pedestrian to reduce injuries, it works. Hey I was trying to rile the Mac users!
