There are a lot of dongles on there, that you can use with your smartphone app. Seems there's more bluetooth connecting apps on android than ios, which uses wifi.
I'm wondering anyone knows why the difference in price?

Which app (ios and/or android) you guys found can handle good diagnostics, and can go deep into the various component lights (abs, shawd, vsa, afs, etc) as well as Cam sensors, AF sensors, etc. Basically The whole shabang, and diagnise your driving, MPG, etc.
Anyone use them or know which coves it all and is really good?

Does Torque do full diagnostics, and do VSA normal position memorization, ABS reset, AFS, etc?
Sorry, don't know. I only used it when I had a failing cat on my 99 TL. I used it to reset the CEL so I'd pass the smog test we have in CA. I do know it shows it a ton of sensors that your car has and you can create all sorts of virtual dashboards to display those values.
Looks pretty slick. But I'm guessing that all the real brains is in the app, where it pulls in data from other databases to assist with troubleshooting. My guess is that their OBDII plug just pulls back data like any other generic OBDII plug, but they probably hard-coded their app to only talk to their particular plug.

Indeed. The plug only works with their app and vice versa.
I don't understand why the guy in the video is trying to accomplish? Is his VSA light on because there is actually something wrong with his VSA system? If so, why would you want to turn off the light? If there isn't anything wrong with his VSA system, maybe he just turned if off (which illuminates the light in the gauge).

no no I don't think he's just turning off a light.
The Triangle is VSA activation indicator. and the VSA light is: VSA system indicator. When the triangle is on, means VSA isn't even active. Which triggers later a VSA light as well once you start driving over a certain speed. So if triangle is on, means VSA is not active.
This happens if you clear codes apparently, in a normal scanner, like 'clear all codes', it somehow also erases the neutral position memorization. Or if you actually replace the VSA control unit, etc.
Remember Vehicle Stability Assist works together with ABS and SHAWD depending if you're accelerating or braking. It's the more advanced alternative to TCS in TLs. So that computer firmware needs to know where to start from, to "stabilize" the car... . See what I mean?
That starting point, is called "neutral position". so the guy in the video placed the car on a flat surface, and did "neutral position" memorization. So that the system can save that 'neutral' point, and work on stabilizing the car after that.
Once that is done, the triangle goes away, means VSA is active. And when you drive, its now working, and the VSA light doesn't come on anymore.
What I wanna know is, like he showed on his scanner, the 'neutral position memorization' option is there, does the torque pro, or similar apps, have that same menu, and that option.
Boy is this hard. It feels like I will have to have a good app, to get good diagnostics, and the wirefree option anytime, and a cable one as well, as bi-directional option seems mainly in wired unless you go for a 400$ + wireless thingy.
