No A/C and overheating

I have two issues that I am currently working on. My AC blows warm air due to the compressor not coming on. I checked all the fuses and everything is fine. I also checked the compressor itself and it is full. I know that it is either the compressor, stator or the clutch. How do narrow it down to a specific problem? Any tests that I should try?

My second issue is fan related. My car heats up at idle due to the driver side fan not coming on. Niether fan comes on with the A/C. However when the temp gauge goes up, the passenger side fine will come on. The only time both fans come on is when the car is turned off after overheating. The driver side fan works, just not when I need it most.

I believe there is a relay under the hood that may be worth checking.

At least in my case, the two issues were related. I don't think the car is really overheating, but the gauge reported that it was. It would only do this when the A/C was not blowing either. Once I fixed the A/C clutch, the overheating issue went away too.

I took my car to the dealer. The first dealer I went to wanted to change everything (for 3k). I took it to a second dealer and the tech there said that because he was able to turn the compressor by hand, he did not think I needed a new compressor. However, he said if I did need a new compressor, he'd have to charge me labor twice for taking it apart twice.

Ultimately they just replaced the clutch for around $800 and it resolved the problem.

Thanks for the assistance. Ill get the clutch replaced and hopefully that will rectify the situation. If not, then its new compressor time.

Yeah I forgot to add that I did check the relays. I swapped the fan and fog relays with the a/c relay and got the same results.

Update

I got the stator replaced and the a/c blows cold now. However the fans are still doing the same thing. Neither of them come on when the a/c is on. The only time a fan (passenger side) comes on is when the temp gauge goes up at idle. Fcm maybe?
