I have a 2006 RL, and the navi screen is dim. I've pushed the brightness button to the max, but still too dim for me. Is there any way to brighten it, like a new bulb or something? Or would it require a new nav, or do I just live with it?

 

I've got an '06 with the same problem. You can adjust the contrast as well as the brightness, and it will help some. But the bottom-line answer is that you probably either just live with it or find a used replacement (since the price of a new one is quite probably insane).

 

It's far worse in the cold weather - it gradually warms up like an old CRT and becomes a bit brighter.

Maybe it is an old CRT...

 

Mine does exactly the same thing in the cold. I feel ya...

 

it was 62 here yesterday, not sure that's the issue

 

I'm in SF bay area (no snow) and upon starting up it is dim. After several minutes it does brighten up reasonably.

 

I have the same problem in my legend.
