Do you know what version you're running? If it's 3.50, AngryDad made it so easy that you should give it a try yourself. Just carefully follow the steps and you'll be in business.

I was bored and decided one day to hack my navi start-up screen. No idea how to do it and was kinda scared of the process. It looked like a cool thing but the instructions looked complex. I'm not super good with computers either. From the time it took me to ACTUALLY read the step-by-step instructions to getting a logo onto my car was under an hour. Blew my mind how easy it was. Since then, i've relearned photoshop and now change my image weekly, and it takes 5 minutes to do. You should try doing it using one of the images posted in the navi-hack-images forum because they are the right size and file. (that's what i did, just right click and save it, and use it to practice til you make your own.)

All you need is a computer with a cd/dvd burner. Then you download a program that takes 1 second to download and 30 seconds to figure out. Then just go step by step and voila. The instructions look more difficult then they are, until you read them fully. If i can do it, you can do it. Everybody on this site with navigation should do it. If anything goes wrong, unplug the battery and it's all back to normal.

I repeat, this should be done by every navigation TL on this site. The look on peoples faces when they see your own graphic makes the 1 hour worth it. They look in amazement, bewilderment, confusion, delight and jealousy. To some it's like seeing a magic trick, eyes all bugged out. It is just soo bling of a feature. Your car is waiting for you to learn! Hack that beeyatch!

Here's my latest image that i'll probably change soon because IT'S SO EASY!!!
ps. The Acura logo spells the A in my name, genius hey freaks!

Thumbs up No problem

Yea guys, I'm in cliffside park NJ (5 minutes from GWB) and have changed startup image, what the nag says, and enabled trip computer. The only thing I can't figure out is how to change the HLF .pcm sounds.

I can pretty quickly and easily show someone how to do the same if they're around. Bring your own laptop (and car) and make it real easy.

Lets all figure out who wants to do this and maybe we can all meet up somewhere and get this done?

How do you know what navigation version you're running? I have a 2004 3G TL... So, what program should I use to change my navigation screen (bypass the OK button)?

take out the cd from the drive located in the trunk and see the version number. If it is 3.30G, i have already hacked that one and can send you the files that you have to burn.

Before you seriously consider asking (or even paying) someone to perform this hack for you, check out the instructions posted on here: Navigation Hack Guide: Welcome Screen Mod, Trip Computer, OK Button Nag Removal

It is a relatively safe hack to try.

Either way, good luck!

The only challenge that I had was doing the first step
- finding out the file that the system was loading
Don't assume that it is the .bin file used as an example in the instructions (mine ended up being BN2HH12C. Once I figured that out all was done
nag removed
new splash image
trip computer

This was the step I skipped...
1. At the main screen of the navigation system, hold down
the Map/Guide, Menu, and Cancel buttons for 5 seconds.

2. Hit the "Version" button on the touch screen.

3. Hold down the Menu button for 5 seconds.

4. Write down the filename next to the words "Loading
Filename" (ex. BNHH401A.BIN).

You actually can do all three hacks at the same time (I did).
