My parents just got an RL
Hey guys, I'm usually on the TL forum, however my parents were looking at new cars to trade in their infiniti and we were at a honda dealership looking at Accords. My father asked if they had any awd in the hondas and we found out an RL was coming in. They test drove it and purchased it. 2005 RL nav (I'm guessing that's the tech package) with 6900 miles on it for 28,900. The car is mint, I believe they got a damn good deal but I figured I'd ask you guys. Not sure if they will do any modifications to it but is there anything highly suggested?
Thanks
Chris

A four-year-old car with only 6900 miles (assumes 2004 build) is astonishing, it must never have ben driven. That is probably a fair deal for so few miles. 2005s with lots more miles are going for around $25k or less.
Welcome to the RL fam!
Suggest they visit an Acura dealer to get some of the known TSBs for the car taken care of.

In 05 there was only one RL (no tech or CMBS), base and fully loaded were the same thing. I wonder if theis was a "snowbird" car. I've seen some cars with really low mileage for the year that belonged to older folks who spend the summers up north and the winters in Florida.
The best I had witnessed was an 03 CL-S 6MT with nav (this was in 06) with 4000 miles.

I'm suspicious of very low mileage cars. Dealers will tell you anything that will make a sale. It's probably fine but see when the 4yr warranty runs out, (get the in-service date), probably this year.
I'd suggest an extended warranty, the technology on the car is great, but very expensive to fix.
