LED Conversion - Quick Guide
Figured this would save research time as well as trial/error for everyone else, enjoy
1. Front dome

2. Trunk
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
3. Doors
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT
4. Rear dome
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2x-Ca...Q5fAccessories
5. Reverse (might not be as bright as stock when in housing)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2X-SM...item2555316fa5[/QUOTE]
A flat screw driver is the only tool required for this job (if you prefer to use something else to avoid scratching that's fine too)
A hint for the front dome cover:
insert flat screwdriver in the middle of the top (windshield side) horizontally and push down until the cover pops off.

caution on the reverse lights, stock units are 21 watts and I have not seen a single LED setup (I tried 4) that manages to get the same or greater amount of light out of the housing.
The one's linked currently are the brightest I came across but still not as bright as stock. Get them for the color look, not to light up the way for when you're going back.

they are active links, plus I intend to do a full photo shoot as well so I'm gonna throw in sizes and everything.
I'm sure Bob will help me sort it out.

These likely would provide ample light for the back up lights:

The closest I got to that bulb is having 1 front facing 3 watt LED with 10 SMDs on the sides.

You thought of superbrightleds lights?
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...F744x-xLX3.htm
I like how they tend to rate their stuff in lumens or an equivalent instead of the color temp of the light as that is a big miss representation on how much area will be lit up.
Also the 360 deg bulbs I doubt will be of much help if not just a waste of extra $ as you really only need a directional style bulb.

That was dimmer than the stock and also dimmer than a cheap 8 led bulb as well.
As far as 360 degree bulbs, that I purchased only for the front console as it has a reflector that does not evenly distribute the light coming from 1x 1.5 watt directional festoon bulb (which is very bright).

The link above seems exactly like the bulb I've ordered minus the side bulbs.

Although LEDS may be brighter, they tend to be a more focused beam.
I have considered them for the backups, but it may be a trial and error for the scope of the beam they emit. I also wonder if they would was out the rear backup cam if they create too much glare on the rear bumper finish. This was the result when I tried LEDs for the rear tag lights.
The OEMs cast a glow that produces two nice arcs in the backup camp not unlike the grid-lines superimposed on some aftermarket cams.

I'm speaking from experience. As in I took a 3w forward facing bulb with 10x SMDs on the sides and put it next to a regular cheap 9 LED bulb powered by same car and the 9 led one was brighter.

if you look at the pics above, my LEDs look pretty bright too, even though I have to assume that the CTS-V housing was specifically designed to take advantage of the light they emit.
I got 3x 1 watt facing forward
